Fernanda Miranda

Development Coordinator

Fernanda Miranda is a screenwriter, director, and producer with over 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, focusing on project development and management. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Literature at PUC-Rio. She holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Aesthetics from UFRJ, as well as a postgraduate degree in Philosophy of Art and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Communication, both from PUC-Rio.

She has worked with production companies including Caradeção, Cinerama Brasilis, Copacabana Filmes, and Carioca Filmes, taking on roles as a researcher, screenwriter, producer, director, and assistant director. For three years, she was part of the creative team at Giros Filmes, where she directed and wrote the feature documentary *A Voz de Ruy* (2024, 75’) and contributed to the creation, development, and management of documentaries and series such as *Meia Lua Inteira* (documentary series, 4×40’, HBO Max), *FHC, Presidente Improvável* (documentary series, 4×45’, TV Cultura), *Amazônia Novas Histórias* (documentary series, 4×10’, Globoplay), *O Outro Lado da Moeda* (feature documentary, 72’, Canal Curta!), *Fé na Batida* (documentary series, 8×26’, Arte1), *Para Ver Freud* (series, 4×26’, Canal Curta!), *Leopoldina* (feature documentary, 72’, Canal Curta!), *Histórias da Gente Brasileira* (documentary series, 26×26’, Canal Curta!), and *Todo Mundo é Filho de Santo* (documentary series, 13×26’, TV Bahia, Futura, and Globoplay), among others.

For the past ten years, she has taught filmmaking both in person and online, and she has served as coordinator and professor of the Filmmaking program at AIC (Academia Internacional de Cinema). She is also the author of the children’s books *O Tempo de Dindi* (2019) and *Dora Quer Ver o Mar* (2022), both published by Letra e Imagem.

She is currently Head of Development at Bubbles Project, where she works on the development and management of fiction and non-fiction feature films and series.
