The Inheritance
Thomas, a Brazilian young man, lives in Berlin with Beni, his boyfriend. Away from his roots for many years, he is suddenly taken aback by the news of the death of his mother. Back to Brazil to bury her, he discovers he is the heir of a grandmother he never knew about. The inheritance: a farmhouse deep into the countryside. Thomas finds in this the opportunity to get in touch with his origins and learn more about his past.
The couple’s modern, metropolitan energy clash with the archaic atmosphere of the farm, where they are welcomed by Victoria and Berta, two older aunts who treat Thomas as a prodigal son. As the couple discovers more about the history of the family and the place, weird events unfold in the isolated house, revealing an intricate conspiracy to bring Thomas back to the role he was always supposed to play.
